Maria Rakotonarivo

Founder of the Theatre Studio BELOE

Born in Saratov, Russia, Maria started her theatrical career at an early age of 6 with the Junior Theatre Teatralika. First, being a leading actress then becoming an assistant producer, and then a producer. As the assistant producer she took part in staging of The Ugly Duckling and The Metal Pig, literary fairy tales by Danish poet and author Hans Christian Andersen (1805–1875).

In 2008, receiving an educational grant, Maria went to the USA where she studied production and staging at the East Carolina University.

​

In 2010, having moved to Moscow, she opened a junior theatrical studio where she worked with children, training them in acting and self expression.

​

In 2011, Maria realised one of her dreams by establishing a Theatre Studio BELOE within the innovative platform of the Design Factory Flacon. There, she worked with adults of different backgrounds, teaching them acting techniques. During the five years of running the Studio, Maria had staged 3 successful performances with one of them being awarded a participation in the Moscow Night of Arts (2013).

Since 2015 Maria has been living in Geneva where she continues her producing and staging activities as a creative director with her dream being to grow her Theatre Studio BELOE into the studios for developing and growing the talents among professional actors and dancers.

​

In 2017 Maria attended education in the London International School of Performing Arts.
